This week and weekend, An Xiao’s work will be showing at New York’s first Asian Contemporary Art Fair (ACAF), a major international art fair celebrating contemporary Asian art. Departure, 2007, a photo she captured in Coney Island this summer, will be on display with Tenri Cultural Institute’s booth, curated by Dr. Thalia Vrachopoulos. Short on the heels of her award with GLAAD, this is an exciting and important step forward in her artistic career, as she develops and shares her streethaiku to an international audience.
