Shuffled! is a new feature on BPRLive, in which we ask some of our favorite people on the scene to set their mp3 player of choice to random, and tell us about the first few songs that they hear.
Once again, An Xiao is proud to participate in the annual holiday benefit of Cheryl Pelavin Fine Arts. This juried exhibition is organized by Valentina Dubasky and benefits Art in a Box, an organization for AIDS orphans and children at risk. One of my new pieces, No One to Sit, 2007, will be available in a 5×7 print for a $75 donation.
Due to family obligations in Los Angeles, she unfortunately will not be able to attend the opening. It is being held this Saturday, December 15, 6-8 pm. An Xiao photographed the art of steel sculptor Gudjon Bjarnason, who’s using the photos for his catalog. The launch party for the catalog is this Wednesday. As a great fan of Gudjon’s work, she was truly honored to document them.
