An Xiao’s work is showing at Objects of Desire II, an art auction and gala benefit co-chaired by Kim Foster (director of her eponymous gallery), Peter Trippi (editor of Fine Art Connoisseur) and Elga Wimmer (director of her eponymous gallery), along with the 16-person Auction Committee.

This is a great honor for An Xiao, due to Mr. Decarava’s long esteem as a photographer and Pen and Brush’s prestigious, 114-year history as a champion of women artists. She is showing Island Coney (2007) and, from her newest Coney Island Snow series, Polar Bears (2008).

An Xiao’s dear friend Richard Tsao is having a solo show in Seoul this Wednesday, April 9, at Art Link Fine Art Gallery. The show is curated by Inhee Iris Moon, with a catalog edited by Mary-Elizabeth Mitchell and designed by An Xiao. An also contributed select photos of Richard’s paintings and Flood Room studio, which appear in the catalog and a video played during the opening (also available at http://www.vimeo.com/812315).
