In it, Robert writes, “Your photographs are poems in themselves, the images stark, contrasting, and often surreal. They’re hard to ignore. Your photographs, An, draw viewers into the realities each of them paint and, like tanka and haiku, invite readers to complete them with their individual interpretations.”
